Just In! Fuel Subsidy Removal: FG Approves ₦5Billion Palliative For Each State, FCT

Nigeria - President Bola Tinubu, in an effort to cushion the effect of the fuel subsidy removal has approved ₦185 billion to the 36 state and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja. 

A breakdown of the money showed that each of the state and FCT Abuja would receive ₦5 billion, to assist residents cope with the effect brought about by the subsidy removal.

Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State disclosed this at the end of a National Economic Council (NEC) meeting presided over by the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, on Thursday in Abuja.
