ICPC commences investigation into bribery allegations against House ad-hoc committee

Nigeria - The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has commenced investigation into petitions received from Premium Times and Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, Chairman of the House of Representatives' Ad-Hoc Committee on the Investigation of Job Racketeering and Gross Mismanagement in Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), over bribery allegations against the probe panel.

ICPC spokesperson, Mrs. Azuka Ogugua confirmed this today, Friday, 1st September, 2023.

ProwlingEagles recall, House of Representatives ad-hoc committee probing alleged job racketeering and gross mismanagement in federal ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) has petitioned Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) over bribery allegations against members of the committee.

Earlier in the week, the committee members were accused of extorting money from heads of federal ministries and MDAs, including those of tertiary institutions across the country and this made the committee chairman Hon. Yusuf Gagdi to petition ICPC.
