Akinlade Chairs Maiden Meeting of Committee on Aviation Technology and Aerospace ...Promises to tackle air crashes in Nigeria

Nigeria - The Chairman, House Committee on Aviation Technology and Aerospace, Rt. Hon. Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade on Thursday, 7th of December, 2023 at the inaugural meeting of the committee, vows to tackle air crashes in Nigeria.
Akinlade also applauded the leadership of the National Assembly for the confidence reposed in him and the members of the committee.
Expressing deep concern about the nation’s recurrent air crashes, Akinlade assured that the committee is dedicated to utilizing all available resources and strategies to minimize these incidents.
"We will with the support of the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON), the regulatory authorities, organize a high-tech town hall meeting to look into the causes of the air crashes.
"We will also look at other safety abnormalities at our airports. Our airspace must be safe for all", he stated.
He stressed and emphasised sterling qualities bestowed on the committee which are; oversight the Ministry Headquarters in conjunction with the Committee on Aviation, oversight over Air Safety Services at Airports(NSIB), oversight over Schools of Aviation amongst many others.
The lawmaker representing the people of Yewa South/Ipokia Federal Constituency in Ogun State, promises Nigerians dividend of highly innovation and productive Aviation Industry. In like manner, he assures that he would look into the controversy surrounding the launched Nigeria Air Project and informs Nigerians accordingly.
Akinlade eulogises his Vice Chairman and other members of the committee as he enjoins them to make Aviation Technology and Aerospace a toast amongst other Committees of the House.
